SHIP BUILDING

Strategically located along Tamil Nadu’s lucrative 1,000+ km eastern coastline, offering direct access to major maritime trade routes, our facility includes a captive port integrated with a shipyard, developed to support end-to-end maritime operations under a single infrastructure. The captive port provides controlled and exclusive access for vessel berthing, docking, launching, and material movement, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and reduced dependency on congested commercial ports.

The integrated shipyard is equipped to undertake ship repair, new vessel construction like tug boats, barges, tankers, bulk carriers, gas tankers, rigs, OSVs, VLCCs, patrol vessels, etc., docking, and maintenance activities, supported by dedicated waterfront access. The presence of a captive port enables seamless handling of hull blocks, heavy machinery, project cargo, steel plates, and marine equipment directly at the yard, significantly reducing logistics time and cost.

Key Advantages

  • Exclusive berthing and docking access for construction and repair vessels

  • Faster vessel turnaround without reliance on third-party port availability

  • Efficient heavy-lift and project cargo handling for shipbuilding and refit works

  • Enhanced safety and security through controlled port operations

  • Cost-effective logistics for steel, machinery, and marine components

The captive port is strategically aligned with our shipyard development, currently supporting airbag-based docking and vessel launching, with provisions for a future dry dock to accommodate larger tonnage and complex vessel classes. This integrated infrastructure allows us to execute marine engineering, shipbuilding, and offshore projects with greater flexibility, scalability, and schedule certainty.
